5 Tips for a Better Interview Process
If you want to hire the best people, you have to make sure you know exactly what you need. As recruiters, we spend a number of hours working with hiring managers to create detailed job descriptions and interview questions.
1. Put Your Best Foot Forward
Your resume is our first impression of you. Spelling errors, bad formatting and irrelevant experience is a total turn off. Write a cover letter – if you are interested in our company, we are interested in you!
2. Pay Attention to Detail
Paying attention to detail translates into your work ethic as well. It shows that you will take the time to make sure your work is high quality. Write a thank you note after our interview and follow up if you haven't heard back.
3. Have Basic Knowledge About Our Company
You'd be surprised how many people interview with almost zero knowledge about what we do. Working knowledge of what we do, who we do it for, and our services is key.
4. Be Genuine & 5. Dress for Success
Be real with us and the others you interview with. We want to get to know you, your personality and experience. When you come onsite for an interview, dress up. It shows respect and professionalism.
